Grand Knight Report for January
With this posting I am sure to be the last to wish each of you a Happy New Year. For me personally, I am so happy to bring in a new year; 2009 was not so good to me. I assume that was the case with many of us.
Somewhere in my doldrums of 2009 I run across a statement from Charles Swindoll about attitude that helped me. Briefly stated he said, “the longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life” and at the end; “I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it … we are in charge of our Attitudes”.
This statement can help each one of us in our daily lives where we deal with stress and frustration. Take the example of someone cutting us off in traffic and how angry we sometimes get and remember “life is…90% how I react to it”. Make 2010 a better year.
Speaking of better times, our Breakfast with Santa pancake breakfast was a smashing success. We took in $1,200 and Santa and his elves brought smiles and wonder to many young children’s faces. I don’t know the exact weight of the food that was donated and delivered but it had to be close to 500 lbs. I want to thank all those that helped out to make this so successful.
More good times are coming. On Saturday, Jan. 23 is our Casino Night. Come join us for social hour, lasagna dinner and some games. Love to see you there.
Happy New Year everyone.
