Council Meeting Notes for Febuary
Grand Knight, Paul Holm, had the following report:
- A Major Exemplification will be held in Bloomington on March 7.
- A Major Exemplification will be held in New Prague on March 14.
- A Major Exemplification will be held in North St. Paul on March 20.
- A Major Exemplification will be held in Rosemount on May 8.
- At the district meeting, Paul reported to us the idea of the Power of 10. Expect a call coming in the future on this idea.
- We had 15 participants at the council Free Throw Contest.
- District Deputy, Mel Meyer, gave the following report:
- The District Free Throw Contest will be held Saturday, February 27 at St. Croix Catholic School in Stillwater with a 1:00 pm check-in.
- The State Free Throw Contest will be held on March 27 at Kennedy High School in Bloomington with an 8:30 am check-in.
- A first degree exemplification will be held at Hastings on February 18.
- A first degree exemplification will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in Rosemount on February 22.
- The idea of holding a turkey bingo was discussed.
- The KC Tootsie Roll weekend is April 23 through 25.
- Council Chairman, B.J. Bertram, had the reported that the KC Casino Night was attended by approximately 40 people.
- Chad Pittman is our website master. The idea of an unemployed KC member being able to post their resume on the KC web site was discussed.
- The next Pancake Breakfasts will be held at Risen Savior on March 21. A signup sheet will be passed around at the meetings prior to each event. The breakfast will be from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. If you can’t work at the event, support your council by coming out and enjoying a great breakfast. Bring a friend.
We are all asked to pray for all the victims and volunteers in Haiti.
